Matcha/Green Tea

If you are feeling sick or tired, or you’re trying to burn some fat, make some green tea! For an optimal cup of green tea, steep your tea bag or tea leaves for 1 – 2 minutes in hot water (167 – 176 Fahrenheit) and add your choice of sweetener (if you like your tea sweet). It’s a nice pick me up for when you feel like you need a moment.

Chai Tea

When you have a stomachache or you just feel sluggish, brew a cup of chai tea. The sweet/spicy taste will give you the kick you need to keep going. For the perfect cup of chai tea, let it brew for 5 -7 minutes in hot water so that you get a stronger flavor from your brew. After that, add your choice of milk, honey, or sweetener and enjoy!

Chamomile

Can’t sleep? Then you need a cup of chamomile tea! A mild flavored tea, chamomile has been used to help soothe and relax the body as well as promoting a healthy sleep cycle (also good for headaches). To make the perfect cup of chamomile, let it brew for 5 minutes in hot water. You can add milk, honey, or sweetener, but it might counter the intended effects of helping you relax. Of course, if you were just looking for a sweet cup of tea, then go on right ahead!

COFFEE GUIDE

Cold Brew (a lot of it)

If you like coffee, but you don’t care for the aftertaste, then try making some cold brew! All you need is a plastic pitcher, (strong) ground coffee (dealer’s choice), and some cold water. For the perfect blend ratio, try 32 oz of ground coffee with 4 cups of water (double it to 64 oz for 8 cups). Let it steep at room temperature for 8-10 hours and put it in the fridge for 6 hours. Strain it through a strong coffee filter. After that, you got yourself a nice cup of cold brew and you didn’t have to break the bank for it.

Frappuccino

Got a craving for something sweet? Look no further than the classic frappucino! Versatile and easy to make, you can’t really go wrong with this drink. Start off with a cup of coffee (or 2 oz of espresso if you want a stronger coffee flavor). Add some milk and ice (you might have to eyeball this ratio for the flavor you want), and some chocolate or caramel syrup (or get fancy with hazelnut or peppermint). Blend and serve.

Ice Coffee

You can’t go wrong with the classic iced coffee. Take it with or without milk, chilled or ice cold, etc. Take about a cup of freshly brewed coffee, ¼ cup of milk (or half and half), and add some crushed ice. Blend it for a nicely-distributed flavor and serve!

Take some time for yourself. Don’t push yourself too hard when studying or you might find yourself crashing when you least expect it.
