If you need an idea for where you want to go for this Spring Break, check out some of these beautiful destinations!
From the sights to the food, you definitely won’t run out things to do up in San Francisco during Spring Break! You can check out the view at the Golden Gate Bridge, have fun at the beach at Half Moon Bay and Fisherman’s Wharf, and visit some historical spots like Alcatraz and Chinatown. There’s a lot more to do actually, and this short description isn’t doing San Francisco a lot of justice, but you should definitely go at this time in spring! The tourist crowds won’t be around until late spring/early summer, so you can explore to your heart’s content. Just bring a jacket because it can get chilly!
Big Sur is beautiful all year round! You got natural hiking trails with waterfalls in state parks and beaches by the coast to check out (pretty sure it’s kind of chilly to go scuba diving, but no one’s telling you no 😜). If you want to surround yourself in nature, Big Sur is the place to be. It’s the perfect halfway point between Northern and Southern California, so if you have time to visit, you should definitely go this Spring Break!
If you like to hang by the beach and surf, swim, people-watch, or any of the fun thing you’d do at the beach, then come on down to Santa Monica! You should go check out the world-famous Santa Monica Pier and all the fun attractions. Go on the ferris wheel and enjoy the view above! Have a blast on the carnival rides and roller coaster! The pier (and the surrounding area) also has a lot of great dining options, so definitely head on over the local eateries if you plan on making a visit! It can get really fun with all the spring breakers around!
Located in San Simeon, California, Hearst Castle is definitely a sight to behold. It was built in 1919 for a newspaper magnate, and when he passed away, it was converted into a state park! They usually give tours to the public, but in the spring, you can visit it at night when they light it up! The view all around is absolutely beautiful and you can visit the beaches, state parks, and marine sanctuaries in San Simeon, or branch out and explore the wider San Luis Obispo County!
Ready to go? It’s a whole wide world out there and you gotta see as much as you can while you can! So get out there, explore, and have some fun during this Spring Break!
