Finding time to go to the gym regularly is pretty hard. It can be even more difficult if you just don’t feel like it or don’t know how to work out properly. Here are some tips for you if you wanna try going to the gym more!

Start Off Small

Listen, if the last time you worked out was because you had to take the stairs instead of the elevator, there’s probably no chance of you turning up to the gym and starting off on the biggest, scariest looking machine in the room (unless you’re wild like that). Instead of potentially hurting yourself, try some basic workout routines like squats (with weights) or lunges and work your way up.

Take Advantage of Available Gyms

Each Kapi apartment community has its own gym for its residents to use! Bring your jams, your water, and a light snack! As a student, you probably have a free gym membership to your school gym as well, so don’t let that go to waste! Try to work in an hour at the gym if you can (maybe in your down time or after classes) and see how you feel about it!

Daily Reminders

Do yourself little favors to remind you to keep it up! Set an alarm on your phone to remind you to get up and work out if you need a break from a hard study grind. Pack your gym clothes and some water along with your things for the next day. Prepare that post-workout snack to keep you motivated! Once you get the hang of it, it’ll be a good addition to your daily routine!

It can be kinda scary going to the gym, especially if you have no idea what you’re doing. That’s ok though. If you got other ways to keep in shape, like walking or riding a bike to
classes, that’s great! Just go at your own pace and see what works best for you!
